We noticed Ganja Ring got a feature on Phuket Cannabis Guide recently.

Kind of surreal honestly.

The game started as a stupidly simple idea during smoke sessions in Thailand. A few cards on a table. Friends talking nonsense. Someone forgetting the rules halfway through the night. Somebody else laughing so hard they nearly fell off the chair.

That was the whole foundation of it.

No business plan.
No “vision deck.”
Just wanting to make something that felt good to play at 1AM.

So seeing it appear on a Phuket cannabis culture site feels strange in a good way.

Phuket Has The Right Energy For It

If you’ve spent enough nights in Phuket, you probably understand the atmosphere already.

Plastic chairs outside dispensaries.
Condensation dripping down beer bottles.
Music from three different places blending together.
People from completely different backgrounds ending up around the same table somehow.

The best nights here usually aren’t planned properly.

Somebody says:
“one drink.”

Then suddenly it’s 4AM and half the group is eating noodles while debating conspiracy theories and trying to remember who lost the last round.

That’s basically the energy Ganja Ring was built around.

Not polished game nights.

Messy ones.

The Game Works Best When People Stop Trying

The funny thing is the game gets better the less seriously people take it.

Somebody pulls a humming card and completely freezes.

Someone else confidently says they know loads of cannabis strains then immediately blanks under pressure.

A simple card somehow turns the entire room chaotic for ten minutes.

That’s really all it is.

Little moments that shift the atmosphere.

Built In Thailand

A lot of cannabis culture branding now feels too clean.

Too corporate.
Too safe.
Too designed by marketing teams.

Ganja Ring was made in Thailand and it still feels rough around the edges in the way we wanted it to.

Late nights.
Dark tables.
Ashtrays.
Music.
Smoke.
Friends talking over each other.

That’s the environment the game belongs in.
